Contour Industries was founded in 1985, but the
philosophy that drives the company had been in the making for
years before the first piece of glass rolled off the line. At the
core of Contour's approach is one very simple, but often
overlooked truth--to produce a good part, one must first produce
a good company. Or, as founder and president G. Keener Mallicote
puts it: "The
quality of a company's products is a direct result of the regard
that company has for its employees."
Mission Statement Our mission is to satisfy our customers, to join them in a partnership that will make them most competitive. We will fulfill our mission by creating, manufacturing, and marketing glass products of the highest quality and value. We do these things to assure the growth and prosperity of Contour Industries. We will accomplish this mission in a manner which is respectful of the welfare and dignity of Contour people. |
The most important element of a company's success--any
company's success--is the quality and motivation of
its employees. With this in mind, Contour has chosen to invest in
its most important asset. Profit sharing has been implemented so
that each employee on the production floor has a very real and
vested interest in the company's success. As a result, employees
continually review our processes, and their suggestions for
quality and efficiency improvements are frequently implemented.
To the customer, the benefit is clear: Contour
employees produce better quality parts and are more responsive to
the needs of our customers.
